Patient Forms Day One
Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our family. We request that you complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center before your appointment to save time. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.
Consultation Day One
Next, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the doctor to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals. You may be surprised at some of the questions that are asked. Some you may never have been asked before. But be reassured that all of the information we gather is to help tailor your treatment specifically to you or you loved one!
Examination Day One
After your consultation, the doctor will perform thorough chiropractic, orthopedic and nerological examinations. The neurological exam is done using the latest Space Foundation Certified technology. About 10% of your nervous system is devoted to sensation. That means we have to rely on technology to determine how 90% of your nervous system is actually functioning. This gives us a measurable baseline and objective data to be sure we are not just correcting symptoms, but actively moving you toward better function and improved health with our care plans!
X-Ray Studies Day One
Depending on our exam findings and your neurological scans we may take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves. If you have an outside X-rays, MRI's or CT scans please bring a copy and the report with you at the time of your exam.
Report of Findings Day Two
Before arriving on your second visit, the doctor will have spent time going over all of your information and upon your arrival will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
- How can you help me?
- How often do I need to come in?
- What will my treatment cost?
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, the doctor will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. The doctor will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs.
Treatment Day Two
At the conclusion of the report of findings, you can choose to experience your first treatment. Precise and gentle adjustments are given to correct any subluxations and relieve the neurological stress behind your symptoms.
Prior to leaving, the doctor will suggest a wellness program to incorporate outside of treatment. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches. If you desire, our wellness team will work with you also to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan. The purpose of our wellness program is to aid you in achieving a longer, functional life through good spinal alignment, having a healthy diet, exercising, and maintaining a positive mental state.
